Wippies fever spreads in Sweden
The land of smorgasbord and meatballs has caught the Wippies fever in earnest. More than 5,000 HomeBox units have been shipped across the country, and queuing up are another 3,000 subscribers. Sweden is in fact threatening to overtake Finland in the Wippies race. In total, over 13,000 base stations have been delivered in different countries so far.

Wippies development continues
The new software version will be available early April. The release is still at beta stage, but there will be a good number of new features increasing HomeBox functionality.
You can now add your existing WLAN device to the Wippies HomeBox network and thus extend the range of your network. Network properties of the HomeBox have been improved in many other ways too.
If you cannot link your HomeBox to an ADSL connection, you can now establish a connection by using a mobile broadband connection device. You can also join the Wippies network by using a WLAN phone – such as several Nokia models.
The new software version will improve compatibility with Windows Vista.
In addition, synchronisation of files with the Big G online hard disk has been made easier. By means of Rsync support a preferred file directory can be copied to the hard disk with ease.
The new version also will add support to tens of SPCA webcams. See the listing of supported cameras at http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html
And the development goes on. Our newsletters will keep you up-to-date in future as well.
